Rachael Hanlon was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. She grew up training at the Otto M. Budig Academy of Cincinnati Ballet. Upon high school graduation, she began pursuit of her BFA from the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music. Her first professional ballet season, she danced as a MB2 at Milwaukee Ballet. She then joined Ballet Met under Artistic Director Ewaard Liang, followed by an apprenticeship at Ballet Austin. Rachael is currently a freelance movement artist in Austin, Texas. She has collaborated in many contemporary dance works in her community over the years. She is a founding artist with Ventana Ballet. Her primary source of expression is as a dancer and choreographer in Austin based band, Golden Dawn Arkestra.
